Note: I am so sorry if you already have gotten this email. We've been having issues with spam filters, and so we made a new Mailchimp account and I am trying to send the Newsletter again. I really want to make sure that everyone has gotten it.
Next Meeting
The next meeting WILL NOT be Oct 9th, since this is the day when Calhacks 2.0 (Hackathon) begins, and the day before JPL.
We will be having the next meeting on Oct 16th, followed by a Javascript workshop.
More information about the next meeting will be in the next Newsletter email.
Workshops
The goal of the workshops will be to provide knowledge of a language, software, hardware, or technical computer skill outside of what is available at SBCC,
as well as giving members access to skilled people.
Scheduled workshops include: Python, Javascript, Unity, Problem Solving, Linux, Virtualization, and C++.
To see the date and times of these workshops, and to see which skilled people will be hosting them, Checkout The CS Club Event Schedule Here.
If you can't make any of these times, feel free to reply to this email and we might accommodate you.
Javascript Workshop
The purpose of this Javascript Workshop is to give attendees a better understanding of the language and its scope of capabilities. Coverage includes language basics such as syntax, operators, keywords, and functions along with higher level concepts such as DOM manipulation, external resources, and useful libraries / frameworks.
